I must say, I felt the same way about the Daytona…my wife wears a two tone El Primero model with white dial and diamond markers, which is so beautiful on her, I got it for her 50th birthday…I have tried that on several times just for the size, feel, as I am not a yellow gold or diamond kind of person…and I was like…eh.  However, my new addition…I am now a Daytona lover…always thought I was a sub/gmt guy when having a Rolex…but…we evolve…and while I have no credibility calling anything a keeper (😂) I cannot see how I can ever let this one, or my new GMT go. Ever. I can even see myself adding an older white dial model with stainless bezel…and your picture did not help squash that thought…it just reinforced that I will need one at some point!

This only oozes the cool factors as it on your wrist! ; ) The black bezel aka Panda looks more Uber 😎 thought it came out much later.

I love the track, not the watch. But i had never one on my wrist, so i could shame a watch that possibile could be my favorite. First try on my wrist before i post my thoughts online. Omega got the credits from Nasa, the Speedmaster is the tru lux chronog...

I can give an opinion, but maybe the Rolex Daytona could be the best i ever put on. At the other hand, there where watches i adore, and when i put them on, it was not my thing. Surprises are there either. Bulova was a question, went into a nice answer. Hu...

I'm still missing a Daytona in my collection... maybe one day!

Similar feelings about the Daytona, had them both, the 116520 and the 116500, none impressed me.

Sold them both. The one you have, the 16520 would be my pick of the previous generations due to the discreet subdials, legibility and movement, however the clasp kills it for me. That’s the reason I never got a vintage Rolex. Now the latest iteration, the...

Whether ppl like it or not, Daytona is one of the most important watches ever produced. Often replicated. Never duplicated. Enjoy and don’t listen to the noise 😉.
