Chocolate or Caramel, by the way?
This one has been a nice companion for a few days, as I had to give it back, with regrets, to its owner.
A nice pointed guards, chapter ring, all gilt dial ( as, most often, only the chapter ring is gilt, while the writings are silver ), case number Nr 325 xxx, dating the watch from II 1960, which is confirmed by the case back.
The only thing is that the second hand should be lollipop, on this version, and it should have a Tropic 19, but these 2 details can be found, with a bit of patience and efforts.
The dial is just fascinating, slightly but deliciously " Stardust ", and, depending on the light, the brown goes from a " café " to a " cream café " color. Stunning.
Cal 390 inside, as every 7928, of course.
Here are rhe pictures:
Some pictures of the movement, which is in stunning condition:
And, to end in beauty, two close up of the dial:
The power of a brown dial, the appeal of the chapter ring, the seduction of pointed crownguards...
This is undisputably another dangerously tempting Tudor...
Enjoy,
Best.
Nicolas.
