One question I've always wanted to ask is service. My understanding is that Rolex will refuse to service any modified watch, how does that work when you need to perform any non trivial service on the watch?
They won't work on just because you've engraved the case?
Even if that's the case there must be thousands of watchmakers that work on Rolex. But what is "non trivial"?
That’s correct, but my experience
has been that most any good watchmakers can easily service it and somehow easily get parts as well. I’ll let you know my friend when it stops running if I can’t get it fixed 😁.

My understanding is that rolex parts are not available outside of their network, so potentially a problem for more recent models.

He had the watch for 6 weeks. I don’t know if he was working on other pieces (mainly shotguns) during the time he was working on my watch though 👍
