may i warn u that window shopping is definitely hazardous to the wallet in an used watch watch fair,it is like walking in a land mine naked.
anyway, it was a lazy saturday afternoon, strolling the watch fair to kill some time alone in HK. it was uninteresting until i saw a gold printed rolex dial blinking at me. it is a 16753 transitional that caught my eye, the four-handed model (GMT) has always been able to play with my emotions.my first love being the 1675 which i posted in 2007:
this watch drew my attention because of its looks. the truncated cone markers (some call nipple-dial) , the gold printed minute track and on dial resembles those on older rolexes has an appeal on me, the sharp contrast of the subtle gold prints faded in to the background with the shiny raised markers and hands did it for me. the date wheel also has a slight goldish tinge which blends very nicely for this two tone watch. being transitional, this has a quick set date but an acryllic crystal, which i also like.
as i have little knowledge of vintage rolex, correct me if i am wrong, this watch does look like a two tone submariner, u reckon?
