The “deliver to the wrong address & steal the package” sounds like a scheme by the seller to keep the money and watch. I hope that’s not the case, but the speed of the theft after delivery sounds very suspicious to me. Fingers crossed you can have the sit...

Usually, they mark the package as undeliverable, flag it as an exception and hold the package until it can be sorted. This actually happened to me once when an ebay seller from Europe didn't put my street address on the package, just my name, city and zip... 

we all have probably done deals over that internet that could have gone wrong. Happily, back in the days less problematic as today. We can’t stress enough on the fact to use secure ways of purchase and delivery. Br, Dirk

If its `signed for and insured `delivery its not allowed to deliver to another address i would think ? So isnt the courier liable here ?

I’m sorry that you are in this position.

My brother, who lives in a different state than me and the seller, gave the seller the wrong address. That was mistake #1. By not having correct insurance, the package was not given extra care (e.g. secure locker, UPS driver sign-out). That was mistake #2...
