But you need to dig deeper. A bakelite bezel is worth 20-30k or more. If the seller was selling the watch at 25k then he knew what he had. If he was asking for 65k then you need to think on the seller a little. Also please note an authentic correct dial w... 

Most of the time it is the lighting and the angles that give miss leading info. Like the Mercedes hour hand. But at the end of the day it is the seller that you need to count on. Bill

Some numbers case number 3561XX Caliber 1036 Movement number. DN7747XX I think the Watch precedes the movie. Anthony

Case back should have a 58 dated case back. Now the movement I can't really say anything. The rest is a little hard based on the pictures. But the puzzle comes together as you add color. Bill

But we are still missing a little the parameters. The dial is hard to see in these examples and the crown has an odd shape. But that is not to say not good. If the case back is 1959 / 60 too late and then you start to see is there some assembly. But again...

I am curious if there is a "-" between "Oyster-Perpetual" of just "Oyster Perpetual". Not sure if Anthony is in a position dis assemble the watch? Bill

I have seen a watch in the same serial range and the crown was different. Now that is not to say this one is wrong. It could have been assembled later or it could have had a dial replaced by Rolex. It is hard to speculate. But as we have said previously h...  

Hello Bill It was a gift from a wife, after husband commented that he thought he would like a Rolex. She told him, her Father used to have a Rolex and retreived it from his stored items. Then he brought it in for an estimate to repair(not running), it has...

Not only is the bezel AM, but the dial is a fake as well. Probably bought both of them from the same vendor in Vietnam.

dial and insert are obviously blatant fakes. case ( if genuine ) is from the beginning of 1958.

Showing a correct dial was a firm hint.
