there are so many SS Daytonas around, you could have asked for an even bigger discount. I often see 2008 and 2009 almost new Daytonas for -25% to - 30% the retail price. Truth be told, the El Primero movement was better.
and Zenith chronos are much more imaginative, design-wise, than the Daytona. Why, oh why, doesn't the Daytona have the date function, yet?! I like that watch they wore on the moon....yup.
Plus, even if you looked online (gray market dealers), you wouldn't find much of a discount. So as far as I'm concerned, 10% from an authorized dealer with whom you developed a good relationship, is something good.. Congratulations on both your purchases!...
if you like a new one, that's as good as you'll get. if you want to buy a preowned online, that's a different story. AD's rate customers as much as we rate them. This is as good as it gets
the important thing is that you enjoy the watch.... At the end of the day the best value of a watch is the one that you wear and enjoy.... If you get a discount of 30% and not wear it, then it is a very expensive one.... Enjoy your new two watches... Chee...
