Strange thing happened to me here
My first Explorer was a 124270 (yes, I am a Rolex latecomer!). I found, to my surprise and disappointment, that I didn't like it on leather straps. I recently acquired this one, a 14270, and am loving it on leather. The dials and hands and basic looks of the case are all but identical. I know the proportions are different but they aren't THAT different. If one works for me on brown leather, they both ought to. AND YET.

Nothing doing with the divers. Right now I'm thinking it's my EZM1 (and nothing else) that ought to go but not making any moves in that direction just yet. Or maybe the Pelagos as well??? Nah. Maybe? Hmm.
Looks good on leather
Having added a ref 124270 to my 114270, I have put the newer Explorer on the Everest Bands rubber strap as it uses the folding clasp. I like the look and seeing your leather strap I’m thinking to add more variety, possibly black leather.
