Thanks for sharing! I really like how Rolex did a great job on the diamond dial with the emerald cut 6 and 9 o'clock markers.

The 6 and 9 are rectangular emerald cut (instead of round brilliant cut). Change it back! Change it back! It's such a nice watch!

But I especially like those rectangular emerald cut diamonds. They're just done so well. But truly, both dials look great. Since you own both dials, you're in a perfect position to be able to enjoy either one!

just one point is that my diamond dial used an older ice blue 🧊shade which is much less blue (more silver) so I really wanted to get a real ice blue dial too. I was aware of this when I bought the watch, I think that some dials in the past were not as blu... 

I like the roman numerals too. And I only like the diamond dial with the large 6 and 9 rectangular cut diamonds. There are some diamond dials with all round brilliant diamonds, and I don't like those as much. In such a case, I'd prefer the roman numerals!... 

Based on your post and that you also own (still?) an Omega how do you characterize the two brands to yourself? Similarities? Differences? What do the brands represent to you?

very different I would say. Omega is (or used to be, after I tried their aqua terra titanium at 50K!) less pretentious. Most of the Omegas I own are speedmasters manual wind. This makes them limited to air and not water so different for sure than Rolex in... 

for me a bit of a close tie with the WG submariner. These were very expensive in the previous watch context. Now that I steel sport watch is 20-30K all in the Rolex catalogue seems a bargain

I found it more understated, a classic.

only with fluted bezel. I think the flat bezel was more discreet.
