Rolex Daytona 6239.... got to love a manual chrono
Not "the" first, but certainly one of the first vintage Rolex that i bought. It has been in my collection for 6-7 years now....i need to check....at least 6 years. I have had more offers to sell this watch than any other in my collection, but its what I call a "Blomman watch".... just not for sale. It is certainly the case that I have rationalised my collection, but this one was always going to be a keeper.
It has a Factor X about it. When i am wearing it, and this was right from the start, it always felt special. I remember Nicolas wore a 6264 for an evening that was heading to me....and he said he knew what I meant about that Factor X. I can't explain it well.... and I won't even begin to rationalise the hype that PNs have...... but I do know this...I love it.
