Rolex

some of you love vintage Rolex but also other brands. Sometimes the keywords are the same: history, patina, bakelite bezels, plexis, gilt dials... Here are some vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms that I have accumulated over the years....  

I came in the world of watches, by this wonderful Fifthy. One day I will own one of this beauty. The vintage one is (for me) much more beautyful than the new one.

I thikn the new FF is a beautifulk watch, but a modern watch will never have the soul of a Vintage, of course... Best. Nicolas

Where is the border line between Beauty and Soul? The FF 50th Anniversary is without doubt a magnificient watch, I agree...LOL But compare it to a Vintage Watch, a FF From 1953, the original one. The Patina of the Original model is to be seen in the flesh...

Can you show me a close up of the one with the square white panel the dial...looks interesting. & from what i understand the rounds are special indicators showing radiactivity? correct tell / show us more & love the bakeliet bezels! rgrds.P

they are always located in a two zones circle, except for this watch where it is a rectangle. You cannot distinguish the two colors anymore (or hardly), which means that humidity has poured into the watch at some point....  

The ones that have those indicators are they special [ military ] serie or from a later serie where it became standard?? very interesting, Rgrds.P
