Hi, Just over a year ago, I started a vintage divers theme after having been infected by a famous parisian purist who has a stunning collection!... My first catch was a UG Polerouter Sub, then I continued with a Benrus Type II, then I found an Omega SM 30...

Where do I start? 1) Blame the (in)famous Parisien...good start. 2) Wow...what an awesome BC. And welcome to thr Knights of the Big Crown club. That is a stunner of a watch. Congratulations. Great with the BREVET. Seriously wonderful watch. What a patina.... 

For sure this is hell of a thema...To the question what's next, I would say I need to recharge first before I can do another dive!!!...and as for this one, you are hunting one and finding another so you never really know, but a nice FF would be my wish re...

For sure, the BC is fantastic with a spectacular gloss dial in the sun...and it is nice that it is not too much in your face as it is only 38mm; the thickness gives it a nice presence though even on my big wrist. I like them all, it is also nice to enjoy ...

Matt, I am insanely jealous of this new purchase. While I don't have any Rolex in my collection, this one melts the heart for a collector with my passions. It is like you started the year with a brisk walk up a hill and ended it with an assault on Everest...

Ones dating from the Forties and before. I have recently been offered some very rare ones and that is distratcing me. LOL.

so if there is a wishlist, that would be the answer, but you never know, usually you find what you don't look for!...I wasn't hunting a BC!!!...Matt

yes this sport is more like fishing, you never know what may land in your net. it is so easy to be distracted. I have a few watches that even a couple of years ago I never thought I would be lucky to own.

Your collection of vintage divers is stunning! Great achievement in such a short period of time, my friend! I fear that soon I will follow in yours, Nicolas and several others down this road… I just hope there are still some left for me when that day come...

A question is indeed where is the Polaris, well I have the UG as a SC case, but would even prefer a DSA as far as JLC is, but the other big question is where is the FF!!!??? That gives me future targets, that need to be achieved over time given the rarity...

Wow Matt Talk about going from zero to sixty in a flash. You took a very thoughtful and measured path. Rolex can be a mine field but in my case people like Vlad and DrStrong strong are always there add a little support or guidance not to mention the commu... 

you are right, especially regarding vintage Rolex, once one steps into this trap...you're in dangerous waters!...we are talking not only serious money but these waters are far from being cristal clear!... Balancing out passion with reason isn't always eas...
