I think such serial number proximity is great...
.....one of the things that attracted me on the pair of Mk1 DRSD Patent Pendings in my gang was the fact that the two watches have consecutive serial numbers...yep, just one digit...and that the two divers who were gifted the watches from Rolex knew each other, dived with each and became friends. Two rare watches with consecutive serial numbers....yes, I can see very much why you find the proximity interesting.

My dear friend Abel, You said it correctly! GMT's can at least as addictive as submariners. Maybe even more so as you can play with color MUCH better with GMT's as you can with Submariners. Nice to see that submariner and GMTs are both your addictions.......
