It would have maybe been different with some nice details borrowed to the Vintage.
Which leads me to a paradox: Does Rolex really care about Vintage, and if yes, why not including these details which are such an important part of these watches???

No Date Sub gets a Ceramic Bezel, Glidelock Clasp and Chromalight Lume...
The most appealing offer from this year collection. IMO.

Now I am torn between the new Explorer II and this! I love the white faced Explorer II but I have always wanted a ND Sub! The Sky Dweller should have been a tool watch with an annual calendar function.

this new case would benefit from old school chamfering (bevels)??? It would make the lugs look finer. If Tudor is doing it, why souldn't mother hen (rolex) do it? Saludos amigo mío. René

They shouldn't have discontinued it. Better, they should have updated it with a saphire domed crystal like that on the Tudor Black Bay! I think they would sell tons of it Best regards. René

Honestly I like bevels but this case with no date is sharp. I have been considering a C sub for a while. Depends on when they make it to store shelves. I don't have much patience and don't want to pay a premium.
