I might be wrong,
but it seems to me that all Tudor calibers have a Swiss lever escapement which is self-starting, so you should maybe have your watch checked. My Laurent Ferrier isn’t self-starting and needs a jolt, but it’s because of the natural escapement.

I don’t wind my BB58. I just put it on and let gravity do the rest. I’ve never needed to tap or jolt it to get it going.

My Full-Size Pelagos
does usually prefer a swish of the hand to get running. I had assumed the rotor wanted a bit of action to assist, but I really don't know the reason. Let us know if you find a determination.
