I noticed many of my watches, particularly Rolex and even in my 50 phantoms I have to least wire them 20 or 30 times before they get moving. Perhaps the bigger the barrel, the more energy it needs to get it moving.

I don’t wind my BB58. I just put it on and let gravity do the rest. I’ve never needed to tap or jolt it to get it going.

but it seems to me that all Tudor calibers have a Swiss lever escapement which is self-starting, so you should maybe have your watch checked. My Laurent Ferrier isn’t self-starting and needs a jolt, but it’s because of the natural escapement. Best, Emmanu...
