I’m going to say the Roman numerals are a bit formal for your style of casual
If casual is a sport jacket, v neck sweaters and corduroy then , no, it’s not too dressy but if we’re into the ball cap, hoodie and jeans casual then the baton indices are a better choice. I remember eyeing that exact datejust in the case when it was current, and being under its spell though never acquired it. Great watch 🙂

personally I'd hold out for stick indices...unless its a bargain too good to pass up. Here's one that's not breathtakingly priced. I'm sure there are others. picture from Bob's Watches ...
