I love the YM TI
When I suggested to SA at Rolex that this is what the modern Submariner should be light, with no reflection all brushed out she took it to heart and and we got into hot debate.
At long last, I got to handle the titanium YM 42.
I had been looking forward to the experience for a long time. My high expectations were actually exceeded. It was quite a joy to see and feel the quality while thinking, it can’t be real at this weight. (I hope this is halfway comprehensible.) Cheers Marc...

I appreciate the titanium and the matte look to the metal and bezel but I’m less enthusiastic about the indices, which I find to large in their roundness. Now, imagine this piece with a dial resembling the Explorer II 1655 😳

... I have seen it in real life and that is a different story. I personally find the brushing of the surfaces way too coarse, the tone of the titanium much too dark (yes, even for titanium...) and the hour markers to be comically and unnecessarily large. ...
Well, in principle I dislike the size of
both the numerals on the bezel and the hour markers. The package, however, I find extremely attractive, bordering on irresistible.

It would be hard to resist as a dive & Ti watch enthusiast. Sadly the YM bezel is bi-directional.

My AD had one for live viewing. I’ve asked for it in ‘24. still no. They’ve said they only got 2 pieces since then.
