Although, I think the blind faith some people seem to have in their infallible reliability is a bit silly. They're a good watch yes, but there are other brands. I'm really looking forward to the future with my grand Seiko for example. I want to see how it performs over the years with a high beat movement. See if it can match the Rolex reliability.

Partially correct, because "Me + other brands" all ok, so it's a 2 factor problem...
Root cause is: Rolex + Me. I don't mind they send me a truck load of Rolex for testing to see where their weaknesses are.
No brand seems to be immune to these problems
At least they offered you a new watch last time, some other brands would not do that. The workmanship seems to have become sloppy over the years. Let us know what happens.
