I agree they were not proto's
But why have a dive watch without minute marker. Just a curious thing. I don't believe Rolex would send out watches like this. But I guess you can always custom order stuff from Rolex but this seem more like a custom after job. But with Rolex you never know custom was always a possibility but I am not feeling this one as much.
For me it is a pretty watch but can be duplicated by removing the index markers and restoring so with no authenticity it has no validation. But I don't buy anything rare about it. Just my humble opinion.

Sure they existed, apart a prototype life, and that it may be weird for a choronmeter AND a diving watch to not have these minutes track, but I must say that I love the clean look of this dial a lot. Anything to share about its story? Best, Nicolas.

I bought this from a dealer who paid less than a normal 1680 ( white dial ). Original owner had it from new.

All those dials came from a test (this is the right word to use about) "package" from Singer as never approved (and/or maybe never tested) by Rolex. Apart from the 1680 (which is a finished dial and probably another story) all the others seen in this topi...
