The Summer 2014 Rolex GMT roll-call
So, it seems to me that its about time we did a full-lead GMT summer roll-call. Almost without realising it, my GMT collection has gained some volume....and I am still looking for one last piece. Here is my colourful GMT gang-of-four. Lets see your GMTs.....
For me, right now....
I want either 1675, 16700 or 16760 .....in that order. Fat Lady only made for 5 years. Some really lovely 16750s also around with great patina....and i have to say, that is my main criteria for this final addition.
Patina and condition, then reference, I agree.
But I would favour one of these transitional 16750 / 16760 too! That is far from being an impossible hunt! Best, Nicolas

......but its waiting until that special patina comes along that is just perfect......
I missed some, in a recent past. With great patina.

Nice lot of GMTs. I like the 6542, but I don't have a GMT yet. I suppose you are trying to hunt for a Concorde GMT next?

.. pretty recently, that I found this 1675 from 1960. - happens to be gilt, CR, PCG & exclam mark (!) - yes veery happy I am ! And it's in fact you, dear friend, who has stimullated, chaperonized & advised me so kindly, in the Vintage Rolex terroir.. - ma...

Joe- Its a pleasure to see your GMT collection. If it were not for the 6542 I would have said it is definately too modern for my taste. Your 6542 is a dream and your 1675 with black bezel is not bad either. I prefer these to your latter two but together t...

....and it doesnt have to be rare, underline, exclam.... but it needs a dial with a killer patina. Now, there is no logic in that addition other than the pleasure of the watch.....nothing about rarity or even filling a gap.....genuinely, I just want a Pep...

we have a passionate GMT collector at work here. This what I consider A+ stuff. I have a long journey ahead but I look forward to every second! A nice collection- impressive indeed! E
