Hahaha. A fair question....

.. that is a very well known figure or a mechanical manequin in Osaka (western part of Japan, the second biggest city) - called "Kui-Daore", a manequin which moves to lure the customer to the restaurant establishment.  I believe the place is closed now, but still the manequin is remembered as sort of a "symbol" of Osaka.

The reason why chose his head as my avator is that it looks like me (?).  So, when I found that smaller version figure, I was so thrilled.  "Kui-Daore" means, eat and eat and eat until you can't move.  Hahaha.

Hope this explains a bit.  And, yes, it is significant symbol for Osaka....

Thank you!

Ken
