Green Bezel Submariner 16610LV Interesting Facts
Over the weekend, I learned an interesting fact about the 16610LV Rolex Submariner, the one we know as the 50th Anniversary Submariner. Many of you probably already are aware of this tidbit fact, but I was surprised when I heard it.
Supposedly, the dial of the 16610LV watch is not the same as the normal 16610 (non anniversary Submariner) and that the dial has the luminous hour marker dots of the Yachtmaster, which are larger than the Luminous hour marker dots of the Submariner.
Also, the hands on the dial on the 16610LV are lifted directly from the Yachtmaster and they are supposedly different than the normal Submariner hands.
Tried to upload the photos of the two different dials, but couldn't unfortunately. But I definitely see the difference on the dial, the difference on the hands is more subtle.

Well, I knew that the dial on the Kermit Sub was the one coming form ( or inspired by ) the YM, but I never noticed that the hands were coming from the YM, too. The interesting thing with the Kermit is that it was one of these few exceptions to the small ...
