You show documents dated from 1971 and 1972 about those MK 1 PP, right?
I know almost nothing about 1665s, but weren't the MK III or already in production and for sale, at that moment?
So, how can we explain these Patent Pendings were sent to the divers for them to test them in 1971?
Did they receive these watches before and already used them for their diving activities?
Anyway, this is a pure piece of Rolex and more specifically Sea Dweller History you share with us, here.
And a huge coincidence that the two colleagues friends received these 2 SDs at that time, with only one number separating them!
Now, I will not see my Triple 6 ( currently on my wrist, as per a coincidence... ) the same way.
