I apologize for asking a this-or-that question, but I sincerely would be interested in which of the following watches Rolex connoisseurs would advise for a first, and perhaps only, Rolex. Most importantly, I would be interested in why... Some of my consid...

However, I would suggest you search for a 36mm version and not the current one. Why? Because it is as our Baron once stated "bullet proof cool!" It ticks all your boxes except for the size, so why not give it a try? Congratulations on whichever your decis...

Why do collectors call the base Submariner the "Submariner No Date" as the original model didn't have a date to begin with? It's just an extravagant use of words!

The maddest or lt's say the most original is, by far, the Rasta Milgauss... The green and orange one. The more polyvalent ( for formal and casual moments ) certainlyis the Explorer. The most friendly is the GMT, for me, which will be a very nice travel co...

I was recently lucky enough to be given a No-Date Sub for my 30th and it has become the first pick in my watch collection. I had sold a Daytona just prior to Christmas, and while I immediately regretted selling that watch, I now realise that I didn't love... 

It ticks all your boxes. I opted for the black dial one over the GV just because the green does tend to stick out more, which btw, is my only Rolex currently.

I very much appreciate you all letting me know about your favorites. It gives me a lot to ponder...now I just need to get into the AD and see what I think of them on my wrist. It is interesting that nobody supported the Sub-Date...It seems people either l... 

The Explorer is a great choice. It is understated and does not scream I am a Rolex. I have one and I enjoy it very much. Best regards, Baxter

I went to the AD and have started narrowing my focus. Here are some of my impressions: 1. Bezel on Datejust II appears too wide relative to size of dial. I noticed this less with the blue stick dial than the black. 2. Both of the Milgausses are fun, but p... 

In fact, my very first temptation to purchase a Rolex was a GMT Master II Ceramic. I still find it tempting. I'm also tempted by the "Bruised" version. Still, at least at the moment, I'm gravitating toward something very simple and straightforward. I don'...
