I.
Study GMT functionality, despite all the travel restriction.
Letβs start explain GMT. Greenwich mean time.
Greenwich a part of London, where the 0 mederian crossed.
At 12 hour in the afternoon the sun is shining.
The GMT marks on a dial, bazel, etc.
I discovered the GMT hand points not the same as the hour hand. On the explorer II i see why, the 24 hour scale is for the GMT hand.
Interesting is that the GMT hand can be adjust by the crown, i think this is the way for an automatic and hand wound.
So if you are somewhere else than home where another time zone is present, you can screw out the crown and set the other time zone, home or away.
My GMT watch have the 24 hour scale on the outer dial ring,
and setting time zones i do with a phone or i can pull out the crown and do it manually like the Explorer 2 and other mechanical GMT watches.
Hopping to Ulysse Nardin which have buttons for GMT on the executive dual time models.
Fingers crossed travel will be easier, i want to use my watch where it was made for.
