This week’s 5 digit Rolex throwback, the now classic 16520 Daytona.
Why I didn’t buy a matching pair of black and white dials I don’t know. I did think about it, even somewhat recently (4-5 years ago) when it wasn’t the craziest purchase. I think now without a big correction in market prices there will never be a white dialed companion.

If I’m honest, the white dial wasn’t my cup of tea until a coupe of years ago (still long enough ago to grab one at a small premium). And it’s still a second choice to the black if I had to make the decision today. But white dials (generally) are growing ...

one of them after carefully thinking about which one to choose. I myself have black dialed 116520 and I am satisfied with it. Prices of that model have skyrocketed as well so I bought mine at the right time.
