A battle of Rolex 6542 through the auctions to come.
In the next three weeks, there will be two auctions to come, one organized by our " friends " of Antiquorum, and the second one by Phillips.
Antiquorum plays with that one:
Probably an early service dial, and a nice case.
Phillips plays with this one, a box ( not sure it is the correct one ) and papers. Original dial. And nice case, too.
Both are from the third quartal of 1959, in the 482 xxx series number.
I will follow that battle closely...

Always nice to see my favorite GMT-Master reference. Only the Antiquorum catalog shows the movement and inner case back shots. Why doesn't Phillips show theirs? I also like Lot 19 in the Phillips auction (Steel Chicken GMT-Master 1675).
