Wearing this today, inspired by a previous thread on the state of RD under Richemont.

This one dates from when Roger Dubuis actually was Roger Dubuis, the Sympathie had a shaped crystal, the watches were hand assembled and finished, and every design was a limited edition of 28. I don’t think anybody has made watches quite like this since Dubuis left the company to his partner prior to the Richemont buyout. (As per the older thread, the original RD business model, akin perhaps to today's Voutilainen or Rexhep Rexhepi, would be a non-starter for any large luxury conglomerate.)

Anyone else have early production RD references to share?

I was hoping to buy one a couple of years ago. It was in white gold. Turned out to be the wrong hands and polished. Love this model. Are you familiar with the Illinois model called the Jolly Roger? It's from the twenties and this bears a resemblance to it...

I Very Much Remember When That Was Launched

..and STUPID me passed on a black dial version. Worst Decision Ever! Congrats on your white dial, they truly do not make 'em like that anylonger. Amazing!!!
