RM038-01 Bubba Watson
A new version of Richard’s golf watch for the American golfer: Bubba Watson. I liked the RM038 for its bridge design and the ‘lightness’ in construction and finish. This time the g-force meter is added into the mix. The same bridge design is there but now on top of the winding barrel there is the g-force meter. I can see some sense to this: Bubba hits the ball harder and further than anyone else on the professional tour so seeing how many g-forces that inflicts on the mechanism would be a useful thing. It could be something he would potentially want to see for his game. See if his perception of hitting the ball is the same as the actual g-force emitted in the swing itself. Might help monitor his game?
Rather than have the all-white colouring of previous RM038 editions, the RM038-01 comes with green TZP ceramic bezels. The colour is an obvious nod to Bubba Watson’s prowess on the fairways and greens at Augusta in the U.S. Masters tournament where the winner receives a green jacket. As with the winners, there is only a limited amount of ‘green’ to go around. The watch is a limited number of only 50 pieces.

The RM011 and the bracelet are sold together. You cannot buy
the bracelet separately. The reason is that Richard is concerned about aesthetics. The finish on the watch is designed to exactly match the finish on the bracelet and hence be a unified whole. Much like the design aesthetic for the Starck. Watch and brace...

The look of the bracelet certainly matches the case.
This is obvious, of course, but it is hard to imagine it working otherwise. I have not had much exposure to RM in general, but find this bracelet piece quite compelling.

Agreed - there is definitely a move to increase the number of
