RM 35-02 vs 055 Legend: Fight!
On the prowl for the next sports watch and have narrowed down to these three
- RM 35-01
- RM 35-02
- RM 55 White / Dark Legend / Yas Marina
Black carbon NTPT (durability is key)
I would love help in summarizing thoughts on mechanical differences (auto vs manual wind, case size, anything else of note?)
055 DL/WL are 88 pieces each.
having the sapphire case on 35-02 and 55 is appealing to me ..
thoughts on why you might choose one over the other? what am i missing between these pieces?

For the start I will exclude Yas Marina and White Legend... full color minute markers distract from the sceletonized movement... if you like it then Asia edition NTPT 055 is the best choice with the gold minute scale... totally love the color scheme of 05...
My choice..
I pick 55 because the 35 are a tad too sporty for an everyday everywhere beater. 55 is a little big for my wrist but VERY comfortable. I want RM002 now after I just bought a RM005.. Like the RM005 more than my RM010. BTW hairy wrist will distract the “see...
50m vs 30m
The RM35 has 50m water resistance with a double seal compared to the RM55 which has 30m with a single seal. Actually it is quite a big difference.

Just stunning! Is RM turnaround time for a service on a piece like this reasonable? Assume takes a while (and not free) as quite a bit of work to service this ref in particular....
it was 6 months and $12k service ..
ouch. they publish different levels of service prices on their site, the 004 is the top level charge, like the tourbs the service rebuilds the movement entirely so i would say its 'ok' price for the work done

I am in awe of your 004 - what a beautiful sandblast treatment. Truly one of RMs best references. If it were my pockets, I would be holding off on the 035/055 if you are eyeing an 002. If you are enamored with the NTPT look however, why not consider the 0...
