Richard Mille SIHH Collection presentation in Tokyo

Apr 28, 2011,10:55 AM

As promised, here are the photo report of the RM SIHH Novelty Presentation.  Not much words, but mostly photos.  Please enjoy!  Should have taken more ladies around.....  Sorry, I was a bit in a hurry (I do have day job....).

RM010

RM018 - the last one price JPY85MM!

RM032 - I could wear this smile

RM029 - date at 4 o'clock

RM030 - declutchable rotor (automatic winding is declutched when it is wound enough)

Various ambassadors.

RM038 couldn't make it as it was touring with him.

Now these are for you, Stephen

Thanks to you, Stephen, I am starting to get really tempted this one.  Very wearable, cool, light, sporty - I could really use this one!

RM033 - now this is interesting.  IMHO, this will sell well as the entry model for non-RM people.  This is actually very good on my wrist.  Two hands, thin model.

And this is the special version of RM035 which is on auction - to be donated to the Tohoku Earthquake victims.  Thank you RM!  A very nice gesture and I am starting to like you guys smile

Hope you enjoyed the show.
Like I said, I was not too familiar with RM so far, but seeing and wearing on the wrist some of the novelties, I am getting really interested in a few of them, specifically 035.  027 is too far away, and 35 looks and feels quite good as a sport watch.  Umnn.....

What do you think, Andrew H?

Best,
Ken

Special thanks to Shigeta-san, who invited me and stayed with me during I was looking at those attractive models.  I should frequent the boutique more often!  Thank you again, Shigeta-san!

still working through the RM018 series. That one looks like the 'Tigers Eye' piece that is one of the working models (along with onyx). However, could be wrong on that one. The RM035 is a great sports watch. The weight and the robustness tests for the mov...

Forgot to attach a video - RM032 Running Indicator

I am not a diver, so you may not be impressed, but I was. This "Running Indicator" shows you in the deep see that the mechanism/ movement is really working with black and white circling color. If the diver believes the alarm is set and the watch is workin...

Amazing looking pieces! Of all the models I still love (and very much want) the RM10 the most. And I have to say, that Boucheron number just blows me away... Thanks for another excellent report, Ken.

Great photographs,

It's easy. Just step out of the office without boss noticing and spend a few hours outside and came back as if I had been in a long meeting About hacking, I didn't try - but will ask Shigeta-san. He is trustworthy. You are very welcome, Stephen! Ken

Yes, it DOES hack! [nt]

Vaucher is working very well, maybe the dial is not so clear because of the skeletonized movement, but it's an issue i'd like to deal with!

Fantastic review.
