Richard Mille’s ice cool RM055
First up, as my host at Belles Montres was Richard, the RM055. At last! I was able to see and hold the RM055. Initially I had been extremely skeptical about a white cased watch. When I saw the RM038, I did not think much of it (if I am honest). However, as we become overdosed on black watches – everyone seems to have one these days! – white will become the new black! Seriously, the watch is beautifully finished, the movement in such a case appears more three dimensional, and is definitely more noticeable on the wrist. As a sports watch, and here I am not just talking about playing golf, but generally as a casual watch it is brilliant. The movement, which is basically the same (but with different plates) as the RM035, has a high degree of finish and is clearly visible. It is a delight to see the moving parts.
