Quote:-DID you know that the rejection rate in RM is around 90% yes 90%
I find that very hard to believe....I mean if only 10% makes it out into customers hands then RM must have huge problems with what they are doing.
So 90% of product is rejected , 10% goes to market, and of that 10% there is a lot of reliability issues that require many timepieces to be returned....that would indicate that probably only something like 5% of watches RM makes actually makes it to a customer without any issues...as I said quite hard to believe that stat.
I also cannot believe its across the range, I mean an automatic RM005/10 that has now been made for many years will not have a 90% fail rate, whereas say a new Bucheron precious stone model may well have a high rejection rate....it seems stats on such things are a bit like the stats politicians use for climate change and national debt excuses...you need to take them with a pinch of salt
I am also sure RM perpetuates this rejection statistics to promote the complexity & effort that goes into making them & to help justify prices..all part of the marketing
Just all in my humble opinion of course, and as an owner of several RM's I am a great fan...but sometimes I must speak out on things I read!
Good to know RM takes note of the QC issues...would never stop me buying another RM watch, as I have total faith that even though it shouldnt happen in the first place, that if it has issues they are resolved quickly & i get to enjoy my 'racing machine on my wrist' the way it should be
