One of My Favorite RMs
I believe everything has been said about this stunning watch both inside and out esthetically and mechanically but I consider this to be a highly collectable RM which is now discontinued. Rumor has it that RM was making little or no money on this model so they may not make this movement again for a while.
There are so many models of RM tourbillons but only 1 model of the split second for RM; this makes the 004 very rare and unique for RM. I know you are not too concerned with rarity but do you like the look of RM? If you like the esthetics and the tonneau shape of Richard Mille watches and you are in the market for a split second, then this is definitely the one to get!

Hi Guys, I would like to enquire about this particular RM model. What makes it so special. I do understand it is a split second (same as double split), but how 'advance' and 'purist' is it. Compared to many split seconds out there, i.e, Lange Double Split...

I am just curious since we are on the topic of the RM004s...I wonder how many exist in the world? Not sure who has the knowledge of this outside of the company or at the very least a rough idea?! My guess would be 100 to 200 pieces?! Any ideas guys?

truly limited
Most limited editions are limited in the sense that there is only one particular case made, but there may be lots of limited editions all with the same movement. In the case of the RM004v2, it's 130 total of the same movement! Eric von Schonberg

For me , I'd rather choose to simply take pleasure of the watch & see the movement . not playing with it. because , when something wrong with the chrono , i mean the split seconds. it would be a trouble & have to wait send in to service center for...
