Hello,
Like many brands, it is not our policy to disclose sales numbers of any model; however I was watching this project from its inception at APR&P and my guess - and only a guess, mind you - is that the number is way under 200, with about 10 prototypes of the version 1 excluded...Maybe 130 total if that ? I remember when the RM011 was in the pipeline years ago, the entire first batch sold out even before it reached release, and its ever increasing popularity slowly pushed the RM004 away from the limelight.
In fact, I can only recall seeing a batch of RM004 being assembled at APR&P a long time ago and I saw 1x in the flesh during the last 6 years.
Maybe when Andrew's crazy schedule settles down he can add to this topic; I think he has seen more of them on Purist's wrists than I have!

I am just curious since we are on the topic of the RM004s...I wonder how many exist in the world? Not sure who has the knowledge of this outside of the company or at the very least a rough idea?! My guess would be 100 to 200 pieces?! Any ideas guys?

truly limited
Most limited editions are limited in the sense that there is only one particular case made, but there may be lots of limited editions all with the same movement. In the case of the RM004v2, it's 130 total of the same movement! Eric von Schonberg

For me , I'd rather choose to simply take pleasure of the watch & see the movement . not playing with it. because , when something wrong with the chrono , i mean the split seconds. it would be a trouble & have to wait send in to service center for...
