Case of 35-02 is slightly wider and obviously thinner, to spectators, the wear is more or less from a distance. If you putting on these two watches one after another, the most significant difference is the Alcryn crown collar of RM035-02 would touch and rub the wearer's wrist because the crown sits much lower. There is no discomfort but some wearer might find 35-01 sits better on wrist (marginally thicker, crown collar won't rub your skin that much - depending on shapes of wrists).
Crown sits slightly higher for 35-01, crown collar won't rub wrist that much as a result.
The Red + White color layers of RM035-02 rendered very different visual effect when compared to RM011 using the same material (in red/black tone). IMHO, it is a matter of taste for the liking towards Red TPT Quartz + exhibition case back.
I opted for RM035-01 because the contrast of depth from solid case back, it makes the movement more pronounced especially when viewing from the front. Without complications what you get from a transparent case back is the circular modulation of a kinetic rotor, which I rarely watch it.
RM035-02 pictured below was not mine, the kind owner (a seasoned RMer in my city) let me sample his new purchase for comparison before I make my decision. I did not make a side-by-side but anyone can tell the difference.
Thank you.
