Inspired by descartes1 recent post of some (in my opinion) fantastic street photography that really captures what I feel and see on the ground when in Tokyo I thought I'd add some photos of my own. Some girls waiting to cross a street close to Aoyama. Wai...  

These are very nice street shots. May I ask which camera did you use and the lens? Do you take B&W for street? Your last photo can be very interesting in B&W /W72

Especially if one is just out for the day and may take some pictures as opposed to specifically out to take pictures. I don't think I've ever specifically set up for B&W. Something to try in addition to negative exposure.

I have this image in my mind of a similar shot at night in a Tokyo taxi and try as I may I've not managed to match what's in my mind with a real photo. I will keep trying.

I think I miss a lot of good shots through pure hesitation. But you're absolutely right, one needs to get up close.

I'd add that I'm definitely not getting as much out of it as I should. I just don't use it enough.
