We walked along the river, at its highest tide of the month this morning. To shake things up a bit while editing my pictures, I decided to crop into a square format today, just to see how they looked. Can you tell me what you think? There is always someth...

The hummingbird lesson is the best today, but the Merlin is a close second since that’s new to me as well.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

But I think the shots without much need for perspective work better with the square format. With perspective I think the 36x24 format works in your favor.

whereas the square is fine for a bird on a branch or a flower with bokeh effect background. I didn't shoot the photos thinking about a square format, it just occurred to me that it might be interesting to see what happens. These failed the square test. Th...  

the birds with the black and yellow legs are VERY interesting, and the big birds with the long pink beaks that turn black towards the tips are just as intriguing. An [aquatic] bird watcher’s paradise.
