i managed to try out my new lens today, the reissued Noctilux 50mm f1.2. here are some photos... thanks for looking, everyone! ...  

Excellent results.

The subject is beautiful of course. Setting that aside, I see her as clear in every photo, but still softly rendered. Yet prominent against her background in every shot. I have no idea how one does this, but you see seem an expert to me. Thanks for sharin... 

most of the credit would go to the lenses i use, which allow me to shoot at very wide aperture, resulting in the shallow or narrow depth of field. there are many here who are the real experts in photography. i’m actually still quite new to this, as i star... 

...and my feeling is it is only a start: you have a real eye for photography and you learn fast about portrait shooting and using your new lens. No for sure the credit does not go to the lens only. You might be new to portrait shooting but a s Pierre Corn...

Depending on the background, it may be a little jarring / unsettling for some, but I like the unique-ish look and feel. Seems like a great lens... hang onto it ;-) Casey .

Very nice bokeh. The shallow depth of field shot wide open by this lens lends nicely for portraiture work.
