Sekonic C-700R SPECTROMASTER
The C-700R is a full-spectrum color meter, the "R" model adds wireless triggering (country specific frequency) for your flash and camera. The C-700 (use your own wireless triggers) list price is Yen 183,600, street price Yen 165,040 - 10%=Yen 148,536 ( USD 1,198.74 ) plus tax.
There are applications where full-spectrum data is required, but it's a bold man who needs that level of detail for personal use ; )
In a related topic, it's claimed by Canon that the 5DS can shoot "between the flicker" of fluorescents... the C-700 seems to be able to read the color temp of fluorescents...

We all use some method to determine the appropriate exposure when taking photographs, for the most part the choice is a camera internal light meter or maybe an external handheld light meter... for the few (and I know who you are) that estimate the light v...
I had no idea this was possible.
I mean analyzing the performance of a specific camera and transferring that information to an external meter. Very cool. I bet product or studio photographers would get a lot of use out of this tech. I think it's good to dive into the technical stuff once...

I can't think of a reason that it would not work with film... okay a specific film / camera setup, but if you have one favorite film, body, lens... why not. --and you don't have to have a Sekonic meter to run the analysis... the DTS can be down loaded fro...

5DS and 5DSR
the only difference that I have read about is the sensor filter is removed with the "R" version... I have not seen the camera in person... Just realized that there is a lot of relatively new stuff out there... Hope you had a good rest... Casey
