Like most, I have been following the Kodak sensor issue... it was good to see Leica do the right thing in it's service approach, including their upgrade policy.
The A7 / A7s should be a good kit, and always nice to have a compatible back-up.
Please share your thoughts about the A7/s after you have spent some time with the new system.

For me, it's easy decision:
the EVF. I like shooting with an EVF, what you see is what you get. No guessing around, no need for review. More accurate at wider apperture and with wide angle lenses. And I can use any lens on A7 with adaptors. And I don't like changing lenses on the go...
I'm seriously considering the A7 route. For me Leica is all about the glass
and being able to use it on the A7 is a great solution that also lets me use Nikon glass.

agree on both points ! Realised one can get the same Leica glow on non-Leica bodies with excellent results ! These lens adaptors are real God send ! So much versatility !
