May I reciprocate by sharing what the impact is on me as the average viewer of the conversion result?
The original photo gives me the impression of an autumn afternoon with the bleak sunlight as it can be right after small rainstorm. I can see a young family taking a walk on that path enjoying some time off
The “after” picture gives me the impression of a scary path that leads into the dangerous forest.
Both a little bit exaggerated but that’s the difference in sentiment I felt when closely looking at “before” and “after”.

and excellent points... in the original I should have waited until the train passed and avoided that reflection off the first carriage. Casey
