I don't get to see many urban coyotes close up, let alone an injured one (this ones been surviving and thriving in the area for 3-4 years) but this one teaches a lesson. This wild animal can be dangerous, if provoked, it's their survival instinct, but the...

Not only is that Husky really badly trained but from the body language and visual signals from the Coyote it appears it is also really really stupid and lucky to escape alive. The Coyote may have been injured but it would have destroyed the Husky in minut... 

I’m surprised that the dog didn’t take the hint. But how did you know the coyote was injured…was it limping?

I've gotta add, as the owner of a large dog, I have zero patience for people who don't train their dogs. As this episode illustrates, an untrained dog can be a danger to itself, never mind others. Gah!

Not only they show the beauty of wildlife. But also that nature is noble and wise. In the other side, the owner of the dog is so lucky. It is great that everything ended well. Thanks for sharing! René
