the photo was taken by my friend みゆき of her daughter... agree about the background. Not sure but almost positive it was a smart phone photo...

and with recent models having 2 to 3 lenses built-in, they're like a camera system without the bulk 😅

Judging by the social media posts, sports is a constant when changing locations and with the different languages... plus the kids are still quite young. Most expats tend to head home when the kids approach high school age... Japan is a challenge for re-en... 

Her curious gaze out the window...her strange outfit....the crazyness of the world outside. All elements are in place. Composition, the light, contrasts...this is wall worthy!

Lights blinking and blurring by as she thinks of her next swim match. I'm guessing, going by her head gear, this was taken in the car pool lane.

I have known みゆき for over 20 years... last time I saw her was in Manila a few years ago... we keep updated via social media exchanges... lots of kid activity photos ; )

But what is she doing? Swim cap and googles, fur (or faux) coat and what looks like a bottle of wine!

the daughter is off to a swim meet... a bit tired but she won in her age class... lots of spirit there...
