The Sun Will Rise
In my area, as I am sure in many of yours, all 'non-essential' businesses have been shut down for the last week or more. My company was part of the essential list, so onwards we march. This morning before making the drive in, I took a moment to reflect on our place in the world and to a greater extent, the cosmos. In that moment I noticed the sky had cleared overnight, and there was only a whisper of wind coming from the north over the bay. I hastily reached for my phone to capture the moment before the sun peeked over the Eastern shoreline, and the result is what you see below.
My wife sent me a quote, which I think rings true now more than any time in recent memory; "When we realize how little we mean to the universe, we can then understand how important we are to each other."
I hope wherever you might be reading this, it finds you in good health, and surrounded by those who are important to you. The sun will always rise again, one just has to wait.
