This ref is definitely growing on me. A few questions for owners or knowledgable others. I will preface the questions by noting that I like a watch with a large sweep second hand, and one of the attractions of the 5960 is that the second hand can be used as such.
I understand that one of the beauties of the new design is that the chrono second hand can be used as a "standard" second hand without undue wear on the movement. But in this case can the chrono minute counter be disengaged from the second hand, or will the chrono then always be running? And if one runs the second hand continuously, I assume its movement will be coordinated with the chrono counter, not the minute/hour hands if it cannot be disengaged.
And how is the power reserve affected if one runs the second hand continuously?
Sorry if I am missing some basic concepts (would not be the first time...). I finally had the chance to handle this watch in the metal and was very impressed, but I did not get to play with the movement.
