Patek Philippe

wow,some decently strong words here...

Your comment - no idea why we are discussing this here on a watch site, but as is is dedicated to Patek Philippe, this unfortunately might be not really be by chance..- and Your words are well taken, but perhaps future will prove other countries and currencies are important too??

It was a great, singular economic world wide triumph some decades ago for the US government to make the USD the value we all have to pay for petrol and other things:but mind- things might change in future!

Some people here live in Singapore, and some will come to our community once that will come from China or India and these countries are more and more reluctantly willing to accept the USD's stated monopoly on the international financial market (inspite of China's gigantic reserves in USDs)!And their industry is prospering while US and EU industries are struggling for survival.

The phantom of a new international currency instead of the USD would lead to a financial crash in America that is hardly imaginable today.

Fine that You "planned Your portfolio" so smart, but driving through Northern America's wast and breathtakingly beautiful landscape I saw so many shabby houses and caravans with US citicens "living" within these stables that I am really doubtful about the living-conditions there, any change in the international money market could lead those compatriots of Yours into misery unimaginable for most first world inhabitants..

As said,we are talking about watches here and not the injustice of world trade, third world's exploitation by big first world companies and governments and all these uncomfortable themes for people who can afford not only a loaf of bread but a PP 5070 Pt ....

perhaps go back to the roots,a bit more sympathy,a bit more self-contentment,a bit more reflection in which world we are living?

regards,

lutz
