I got a 5711r then 5712/1a then 5711/1a I had a 5780 for a few days but sent it back, the 5711 & 5712 are better daily watches and more comfortable to wear, imo

For the cost of a 5980/1A maybe save up for a 5960P or 5960R?...

I like the looks of everey Nautilus but the 5711 and 5712 are way too small If Patek makes a sportswatch it needs to look and feel like a sportswatch. The 5980 feels good, the other 2 Nautili are something in between a dress and sportswatch. Nice but not ... 

5711 just too small where at least the 5980 has some presence on the wrist and feels more sporty,

I have a big wrist and wear it very comfortably, in fact with its clean well balanced dial it looks bigger than 5712 Sure 5980 is bigger and at twice the street price, no thanks You must have meant a 5800 as the small one, haha

While not a huge Nautilus fan, I would easily select the 5980 over the other models. I prefer the case proportions and find that it's the most contemporary looking of the line.

Elegant and simple. If you want a chrono buy a Datograph and be done with it.

The 5980 is nice, but I prefer the 5711. I also agree that if you want a chronograph just get a Datograph and be done.

The distinction between the 5711/1A and the 5980 proves the adage. While the chrono is indeed a complication to be appreciated, if you are focusing on aesthetics, then the dial configuration and bracelet of the 5711 provide a seamless, and I might add tim... 

5980 doesn't have the longevity that 5711 does..

Rather like the 5711 than 5980. Save your money for a 5960 or a5170!

How could it be else ?...
