and very nice introduction. I love the idea of spoiling yourself for special events... especially the 40th birthday, its a special event, i myself celebrated it last year, and worked for a while to get myself a long waited patek, the 5070P... Making it even more special.
As for your Patek, it looks great on your wrist, and goes along perfectly with your 5711A... Now that you've put the standards that high, you are going to have for the next special event in your life.

5711 is a wonderful piece for both formal and casual. Very comfortable to wear in summer in particular. I always have been a big fan of platinum watches especially for Patek, most platinum cased Pateks have some special charm…besides the discrete diamond ...

What an outstanding selection! The platinum version really is in a class by itself. The dial is simply stunning, and nothing compares to the feel of the platinum on the wrist. Now that you've been bitten by the Patek bug, I suppose you'd best start saving...

...from all of you, much appreciated. - I was on a business conference last week and noticed that none of the attendees ( quite some of them know that I am seriously into watches) asked me, or commented, on my new 5146p which I have been wearing all week....
